This Cooking Grade Matcha is specifically blended for culinary purposes. Aiya's Cooking Grade Matcha provides distinct Matcha color, aroma, and nutritional benefits to your favorite drinks and treats, giving you delicious Matcha flavor with a healthy, antioxidant "kick."
 
People often mistakenly believe that better or more expensive grades of Matcha are the best to use for Matcha-based recipes.  While true for drinking, this belief is not the case for cooking. A good cooking grade Matcha has a stronger tea flavor than a drinking grade.  This allows the Matcha flavor to shine though even if mixed with other ingredients. Although most would consider it slightly too strong for traditional drinking, this grade is best suited for making Matcha flavored desserts and beverages such as cookies, cakes, smoothies, and lattes. 
 
All of Aiya's Matcha is grown and produced in Nishio city in Aichi prefecture.  Nishio has been known the world over as the cradle of the finest Matcha for more than 800 years.
 
Each 100g (3.5oz) bag is good for a number of recipes.
